Township Board will be using the Proposed Future Projects page to keep
the citizens up to date with possible future projects as they develop in
the 2012 general election the Ash Township Board has been working on
prioritizing potential road improvement projects for the coming years.
If you and your neighbors want to have your road considered for
improvements there are several avenues that you could take. The most
effective would be to circulate a petition amongst your neighbors and
collect as many signatures as possible. A general petition can be
obtained at the Ash Township office. Other avenues are emails to the
Ash Township manager, the Ash Township board members or contacting the
Monroe County Road Commission directly. Road funding continues to be
the largest budgeted item in the Ash Township budget. Even with that
said funding for road improvements falls well below the amount needed.
most areas of the Township is served by Ash Township water there is
still a number of roads without municipal water. Currently there are no
immediate plans to extend municipal water to those under served
properties. If you would like the township to consider the creation of a
special assessment district for a water main extension project, a
petition would need to be circulated amongst the property owners who
could potentially benefit from a water main extension. A petition can
be obtained by contacting the Ash Township water department.
